The Giant Pause Podcast

Washed-up Cards: Micro-plastic, micro-ideas and making the unseen seen.

Episode Summary

Flora has worn many hats over the years, broadcast journalist turned award-winning festival organiser. She now works at a sustainable condiments company in London called Rubies in the Rubble. Since being furloughed a couple of months ago she has got a recent passion project off the ground - Washed Up Cards. Cards made from plastic she finds whilst beach cleaning on the River Thames. She's hoping they can spread some awareness about plastic pollution in a positive, feel-good way. We talk about how change doesn’t have to be huge. Little things can make a difference.
